Q1 2021 Performance of Top Tower Defense Games in Europe on Android

As the first quarter of 2021 has drawn to a close, we at Sensor Tower have taken a look at the performance of the top tower defense games on the Android platform in Europe. These games have been engaging users and generating significant download numbers throughout the period.

Rush Royale: Tower Defense TD, published by MY.GAMES B.V., experienced a notable increase in weekly active users, peaking at approximately 480K in late March. The game also saw a surge in downloads in mid-January, reaching over 230K. Revenue trends showed a peak of around $145K in mid-February.

Plants vs. Zombies™ by ELECTRONIC ARTS maintained a steady base of weekly active users, hovering around 580K throughout the quarter. Download numbers remained consistent, with a slight uptick to around 130K downloads in mid-February.

The sequel, Plants vs Zombies™ 2, also published by ELECTRONIC ARTS, saw a steady decrease in revenue from $27K in late December to around $20K by the end of March. Lastly, Tactical War: Tower Defense by Binary Punch had a modest performance with revenue around $1K towards the end of March. Weekly active users reached a high of over 70K in the first week of March, and downloads saw a peak of approximately 36K in the same week.
